just finished front pads and rotors on the subie, what a pain in the butt! but i think i made one little mistake. how important is it to have the pad with the little clip in the front? one side didnt have any clips, but the other side did and i put that pad on the back side. the brakes feel great, so no problems so far, just wondering what the heck the clip is for. also had a terrible time getting the pins out on one side, ended up taking the caliper out an sticking it in a vise to get it out. then bled breaks. other than that i guess it was not so bad. let me know about that dang clip , thanks (ready for bed) Justin :D

My hawk dtc 30s didn't come with any tabs (meant for track use). Just gotta keep an eye on them.

I'm not sure if they are the same clips... But aren't they the sliders that the pad sits in and allows the sides of the pads to slide more easily as the pad wears?

Or do you mean the clip that is normally attached to the pad itself? (noise maker)
